Impression AdvertisingPay-per-impression advertising, also referred to as broadcast advertising, uses Internet ads to promote brand name recognition or timely events. The two characteristics of broadcast advertising are a general appeal to a broad market segment and ads that tell the whole story at a glance.Advertisers can target broadcast advertising by such factors as age, sex, region, Web browser, or computer operating system.
How impressions workThese are some ways you can use broadcast advertising.
Impressions strategyHere's some information to help you get the most impressions for your advertising dollar. When you decide your per-impression rate, consider that each impression ad competes for Web space with all other impression and click-thru ads. The easiest way to increase the number of times and places an ad appears, is to increase the amount you pay per impression. For example, a site that averages a 10% hit rate for an ad that pays $1.00 per click-thru has an average revenue of $0.10 per impression. If you want your ad to compete favorably for space on that Web site, you'll need to pay at least $0.10 per impression. The form you use for setting your advertising rate contains charts that show you up-to-the-minute information on prevailing rates paid by all Aaddzz advertisers. In general, a base rate of $0.01 is a good place to start for impression based advertising. You can then monitor the number of impressions your ad receives and adjust your rate accordingly.
