Ethiopian Entrepreneurs Are Using Bamboo To Make Finished Goods
Bamboo is one of Ethiopia’s most under-utilized resources. Currently there are over 1 million hectares of untapped bamboo forest in Ethiopia, Africa’s largest bamboo forest. Michael Gebru has now set up a commercial venture, producing various items made out bamboo. CCTV’s Girum Chala reports

    Little by little..Africa is heading in the direction of becoming one country which would transform the continent into a economic industrial power house. Which is good for global production, and business mined Afro-descendents, worldwide.

    The fact how much mobiles and solar panels will fuel economic growth in African countries, and others like Bangladesh etc is still poorly understood in western media.

    Wow! I had no idea 70% of Africa’s bamboo’s is located in Ethiopia. Good on the guy for taking advantage of that and starting a business by employing locals. And he’s also from the diaspora. I love diaspora Ethiopians who love their country who go back and contribute in any way they can. I just love being Ethiopian!
