a great thing I believe you could help with is how to get your partner to realize just how much work is involved in being an entrepreneur. For example, when my partner gets upset because I’m always working, I tell her I’m sorry babe I’m just really busy. She replies by saying I am really busy too and you don’t see me making excuses. When I say that I am busy she takes it as an attack on her, as if I am saying she doesn’t do anything but wait for me to come home and responds in a defensive manner. Obviously, that is not what I am saying at all. It’s almost as if she doesn’t believe that I could be working as much as I say I do and that is the issue. She underestimates the amount of work involved in being an entrepreneur.

Thank you for this video. I just sent it to my girlfriend. Hopefully she’ll understand me now. I don’t blame her though, until I saw this video, I also thought I had issues. Great to see I’ve got a family just like me across the globe ?

    Hey Pat
I’m 16 and I read a book in that author said you must know the person from 5 to 6 years before you going to marry them.
So should I find a partner for me?
I know the girl who will be perfect for me.

This helps a lot. I’m dating an entrepreneur who is also a single dad of athletic children. I came into this with an open mind and hope of building together but this is a true struggle. I seem in every 2 weeks and he is terrible about using a phone.

Wow! Right on the money… The running joke within my family and friends is that I’m married to work! I’m always on and it’s very hard to find a man that’s ok with that. The last relationship I was in, it was a big issue. I tried to change my work habits to appease the situation and I went through a serious depression… I wasn’t being true to myself it was effecting everything including my money started looking funny and he had to go! Never again… Not to mention the next potential suitor will have to view this video as a prequisite to a 1st date…so he’ll know exactly what he’s a getting Haha! Thank you.

Everything he said was absolutely threading the needle. Absolutely true. I have ADHD. I get up in the morning, before I turn the water on for the shower, my mind is already racing with ideas. I get off work, spend hours and hours at home studying. My fiance would tell me she feels like the business is taking over and she has to “compete” for my time. I am doing this partly for her. A few years of pain, a lifetime of pleasure. Had we both seen this video and the followup video for this, we would still be together.

I feel like everyone around me wants to sedate me. my buisness partner , wife and alot of family. I’m constantly having to tell everyone can’t take my foot off the gas yet. I wish I had a strong support system.

  • May 16, 2017 at 8:44 pm

I agree with everything you said. I feel like nobody understands me as entrepreneur in the barber industry. I’ve talked to this one girl in the life insurance industry and I feel like we connect even though we are in different fields but I understand what she’s going through. Hopefully she understands things from my angle except in a different business.

I have fed my mind with soo much information from your videos. God created you to do great things. You are changing lives and masses of ppl with your knowledge and developing not just your own children but all around the world by installing entrepreneurship in adults and parents. Thank you for going deep into detail clarifying the actions NEEDED to take to really be true to your legacy. God bless you. You’ve definitely grabbed my attention and a loyal follower. As a single mom I feel like there’s a breathe of fresh air and I can pass this along to my 6 year old son. Keep em coming. ???

  • May 27, 2017 at 6:44 am

Wow!! This gave me a piece of mind that I’m actually not insane.

  • June 23, 2017 at 10:48 pm

Uncle Pat…I got no words at this point. Just, God bless.

  • July 18, 2017 at 5:38 pm

This is strange I never knew that was a trait of an entrepreneur. Im absent minded in front of others.. then jot done notes.. kind of relieving. Wow, How much I don’t know about myself. Thanks Pat

  • July 26, 2017 at 9:01 am

Love all your videos. I listen to them in between meetings. But this one is so true. I’m sp hyper focused. I work 70 80 hours a week filling my pipeline. And I can’t stop. I have a plan to be a millionaire. And I’m getting there

  • August 13, 2017 at 6:10 pm

Be working – not just busy – when you’re away from your family. AMEN. Seriously!!!

  • August 13, 2017 at 6:23 pm

Right now, I am kind of ashamed to say, there are two kinds of people in the world: the supportive and the irrelevant

  • September 18, 2017 at 4:27 am

One of your best, Pat. Gave me so much encouragement and hope as an Entrepreneur!!

  • September 20, 2017 at 4:22 am

Thank you for this video. I’ve been dating an entrepreneur for 4 moths now, and he is wired so differently than what I am used to. This helps me to understand him a bit more from a outside source. I thought I was going crazy, but I just needed to understand his point of view a bit more. Do what you do.
